The production process
For the OEM company

1.) Prototyping

  • The best offer- The one thing that we do that no one else would even consider doing is that we do all of the prototyping for FREE so long as MTS gets the production.
  • designing- With our certified Bobcad designers. We can draw a custom concept drawing of your boats wakeboard tower. Or give us a drawing, and we will work with you to make your idea come to life.
  • Jig tower- Building the first initial tower to suit the customers needs. This is the most expensive part of prototyping, but your company pays nothing.
  • Jigging- After the first initial jig tower is built and the customer agrees upon the product then our jigs are made. Jigs are used for production so the same product can be made over and over. Some of the ways we use jigs gives us an advantage in producing the same tower which no other company can compare.
  • First production tower- After all the jigs are made, we build the first production tower using the jigs to make sure everything came out perfect.
  • Other companies charge up too $6,000.00 for prototyping. Why should you have to pay to just be able to buy a custom built tower.  We don't think you should pay thats why with us its all free.

2.) Production

  • Pre inspection- Before we start production for the day we always check the equipment, pipe to be used, and parts to be used.
  • Bending- Using our bending machines, and press'es we use bending prints to match bends. And unlike our competitors we square every tower so each side of the tower are identical.
  • Tacking- After bending the sections are put on the jigs and tacked together by our TIG welders. After the tacking is done the tacked together tower is cleaned so no marks can be burned into the pipe during welding.
  • Welding- The tacked tower is placed on a welding table and braced so tower cant be knocked off the table, and welded. Most company's weld around 250-300 amps so they can finish a tower in 30 minutes or less. This is soldering and we stand by our welds. Our towers are welded at less than 190 amps and takes two hours average to weld a tower. Our towers welds will not crack or break, we test our welds from time to time and it's a fact that the pipe will break before one of our welds do.

3.) Finishing

  • Fitting- After welding the tower is put together on a special jig to make sure it would fit on your boat with no problems.
  • Cleaning-  After fitting the tower is brought to the finishing area. It is wiped down with a strong cleaner getting any left over marks, and any garbage from welding.
  •  Painting/Powdercoating- After the tower is cleaned its painted with a special anodize aluminum colored paint to blind in with the shininess of the tower. If the tower is to be powdercoated it would not be painted. We can match the color of the powdercoated tower to the boat.
  • Wrapping- The paint is now dry any it ready to be wrapped for shipment. We use thick double wrap, and pipe insulation to protect the tower when its being shipped.
